Closing Routes

Understanding the impact of Closing Routes after the driver has finished collection.

  • On the finished routes section of the logged-in user's home page, only the completed routes that are NOT closed are listed.
  • All completed routes (closed and not closed) are listed on the archived routes page
  • The collection statistics are updated immediately when a driver save one collection (also the total boxes at the top of homepage)

BUT The warehouse stock values are only updated when the completed route is closed

Option on Closing Routes

  1. This is a new global close button that closes all routes on the list that has not been closed. This is used if you do not need to edit/adjust or do any changes to the closed routes. its important to keep the list of Closed Routes as short as possible as it speeds up your loading of your frontpage. Even though it only shows the last 10 closed routes, if there are several pages of them, the page still has to load all of them.

  2. When the driver has finished the route, the person closing the route has the option to add additional waypoint that should have been registered on the route. It can be that the driver passed a container not on the route and did not add it. You can then add it and the kg before closing.

  3. When driver has finished the route, the area manager or driver with correct permission can do the final closing. Here you can skip/unskip waypoint if any errors, add/remove/adjust kg. and do an accurate final total. The difference between estimated and actual kg. will then be devided across all containers with estimated 1kg or more based on % of estimate of each container to get it as accurate as possible

The best practice for accurate numbers is always to close the route daily after driver has completed the route. Later more features will be added within the closing. F.eks register wet clotes and trash before closing route. If you use the "Global Close Button" you will not be able to adjust it, unless you go into Archived Routes and do it one by one later.
